► twelfth sketch [Video]

[The feed opens to the view of Olivine beach, held by its owner as she records the horizon and ocean for a while. It records silence for a few moments before the owner speaks up, sounding hesitant.]

... if you've done something wrong in the past that hurt a lot of people, and every one of them said that it was alright and that they didn't blame you...

... but... you still feel guilty over it...

... how do you go about forgiving yourself?

[There's more silence and then an audible sigh, before there's an elephant trumpet sound, and Namine giggles as a Phanpy clambers and obscures half the view of the camera.]

No, this isn't for playing. Come on.

[The feed cuts off.]

Well, how do you define who you are? If you're aware of yourself and capable of thinking and recognizing yourself, then obviously you exist and have an identity, no matter what else might be "Missing" or something you'd need to find, and the rest is - something to work on defining.

I guess I'm just being used to being a shadow of someone, I haven't really considered myself as someone entirely different. I mean, I want to be myself, but back in my own world, I wasn't much of a Somebody.

[Video] Yeah, there's parts of Kingdom Hearts that'd skeeve him pretty hard. :|

...If a "shadow" is aware and has an identity, wouldn't it still count as "somebody" in the end? Even if a person was just supposed to be a replica, an echo, or even a shell, if they're aware of themselves, then they'd be "Somebody".
[] If something that was never meant to have a will or mind of its own - a machine - were to start speaking to you and express an identity, reactions to its surroundings, and wanting to learn, would you consider that a "person"?

[Video] Kuja is forever my favorite ff villain ):

... I used to think before that no, they wouldn't be. I was... told all my existence that I was merely nothing but a shadow of someone myself. I believed it, because I was always alone then.

Being in this place, with all these people, makes me want to believe I can exist a be a somebody.

[Video] Awww. *has never regretted him taking permanent real-estate in my skull*

I think, if there were any question as to whether you were "a somebody", it wouldn't even be possible for us to have this conversation - and if you're considering things like wanting to change from who and what you used to be, then you're obviously your own individual with your own will.

[Video] ffix is so underappreciated, I wish it had more love

[Protip, he looks as feminine as you, Kuja. She smiles a little. She's been more comfortable in opening to people on what she is lately.]

More in a literal sense. The closest I could describe it is that I'm sort of... a copy, of someone else. A literal shadow. My fate is to disappear eventually into that person... or that's what I thought before. Lately though, I've been thinking.... I... want to make my own fate.
