Yeah. They get sucked into the ball, and that's where you can carry them. Some of them get too big over time, so they cant always walk beside you. It doesn't hurt them at all, and I'm sure they're comfortable in it.

What's in the ball?

I don't know. I tried opening an empty one once but... I think I broke it.

I kept trying to press the button on it, but nothing happened, so I tried to crack it open. Then Alexander sat on it.

Maybe the ones who make it would know?

I haven't found anyone who makes them.

I usually prefer working with things and finding out myself than asking someone else to answer me.

You said some pokemon grow big after a while. Isn't it weird they can fit into these?

He used to be knee-height before, but I think he's more than six feet now-- or around that part. I haven't had to change his ball at all. It must be something in these things that shrink them into a size small enough to fit.

I know, right? All of them are huge now, but I still carry them around as easily as I did before they all evolved.

Is every one of them like that?

All Pokémon? As far as I've seen, no. Ven's Eevee got a little heavier than she's taller when she evolved into Vaporeon, but she's not larger than I am.

So it's different for each one...

Yeah. [Nod.] Some evolve twice, some only once, and some-- like Eevee-- need a stone.

Ven had one in blue, and Eevee became a water-type. This one's yellow, so you'd think it would make Eevee an electric-type, but I can see some red markings here that look like fire, so maybe it's one or the other.

Lea has an Eevee too. So they only evolve through the use of those?

I'm not sure, but it might be one of the ways? I haven't seen anyone with other Eevee evolutions, so I cant tell for sure.
