That worried me when I first got here, too.

I think they can only faint, and they recover a short while after.

Still, getting them hurt... just because they can recover so easily doesn't make it somehow better...

In this place, I don't think it's the same thing. Whether they're wild or have trainers, pokémon want to battle. I'm not sure why that is, but it explains why they'll attack when you wander into tall grass.

It's good to care, everybody should. Like there's things I wouldn't do with my teammates, or put them through, and Hope's the same way.

But worrying too much can end with you getting hurt, or turning your hair white or something.
