[There is a small smile on England's lips as he speaks.]
It's not an entirely moral or pleasant story, but I'm fond of the dogs. A soldier was tasked by a witch to retrieve a tinder box from a cave beneath a tree. In the first room, sat upon a chest of copper pieces, was a dog with eyes the size of saucers. In the second room, upon a chest of silver pieces, was a dog with eyes the size of mill wheels. In the third, was a dog with eyes the size of a castle tower sat on a chest of gold pieces.
Of course, the soldier fills his pockets with gold, but then he kills the witch and takes the tinder box as well. He ends up killing a king and queen and marrying the princess.
